About Us
Building Blocks of Grace Baptist Church Preschool exists to strengthen the growth and development of young children.
Building Blocks started out as a small Mother's Day Out Program with just a few students. We have grown to a fully licensed (LIC# 153808853) preschool with room for 50 students five days a week.
First and foremost, we want the children in our care to leave with a strong foundation in the Bible; and knowledge of the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Our staff is loving and gentle as they prepare your child for kindergarten, using the well known Abeka curriculum.
Learning takes place through both academic and developmental styles of teaching allowing your child many opportunities to learn through play.
Following the philosophy of Grace Baptist Church, it is our goal at Building Blocks, to Love God, Love Others and Reach the World, one little child at a time.
We are conveniently located at the corner of Jewetta and Rosedale Highway and are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
During the Summer we will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Daily Schedule
Building Blocks of Grace Preschool is a half-day preschool designed to prepare your child for kindergarten.
Preschool classes are held Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
You may enroll your child for Tuesday & Thursday, Monday, Wednesday & Friday or all five days!
Rate's
There is a discount of 5% for payment of the entire year’s tuition if paid on or before August 15 of the current school year. This will be calculated either for the school year from September through May, or for the full year of September through August.
A late charge in the amount of $40.00 will be added to the unpaid monthly balance and will be automatically charged if the balance is not paid in full by the 5th day of the month, should your tuition remain unpaid on the 20th day of the month your child may be dropped from the program.
Multiple child discounts are as follows: Full tuition is paid on the oldest child and a 10% discount is given for any other children in the family attending.
Grace Baptist Members and Regular attendee’s discount:
Each family who attends a Sunday church service at Grace Baptist Church at least twice in one month will receive a voucher. The value of the voucher will be calculated by the number of days your child is enrolled each week.
Beginning at $25.00 per month for one day a week enrollment and increasing at $25.00 increments up to $125.00 for those enrolled five days a week.
Curriculum & Staff
Our staff prepares a rich variety of preschool activities each day that are designed to stimulate a child's imagination and curiosity. Using the Abeka curriculum as a foundation each teacher is constantly researching and preparing new ways to teach such skills as letter sounds, number concepts, number and letter recognition, and social and emotional well being. Director: LeaAnn Gause
LeaAnn has been working in the field of Early Education since 1983, helping to establish two Christian preschools. LeaAnn has taught at all levels of preschool, as well as Sunday school. In fact, it was while teaching Vacation Bible School at the age of 19 that she first knew that God had called her to teach little children about Him. She holds a BA in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She has been blessed with four children who are all grown up and bringing grandchildren into her life. When LeaAnn is not working at Building Blocks, you will find her training puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, playing with her grandchildren, or restoring her vintage trailer "Greta".

Pre-Kindergarten: Donna Shepherd
Donna has come to Building Blocks with a wealth of experience teaching all ages in Sunday School and AWANA. She has a passion for teaching children about the love of God. She has college units in both early education and elementary education. Donna has been married to her husband Jim for 36 years and they raised two amazing children. She loves spending time with her six grandchildren. Her caring heart lends itself to volunteering and she volunteers to teach Sunday school and AWANA here at Grace Baptist Church. She spends her free time cooking, reading, and scrapbooking.
“I love kids! I love their innocence, their eagerness to learn, and their curiosity. I love it when their eyes light up when they learn something new. I usually look for little ways to let them know that God loves them, and also make sure they know that God is always nearby.”
Pre Kindergarten: Tiffaney Spears
Tiffaney has worked in the early childhood education field for 20 years. She has her Masters in Educational Counseling. Her natural desire to help children is a natural fit for Building Blocks philosophy of teaching in a loving way. Tiffaney and her Husband have two wonderful children, one in college and one in High School. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hunting, and fishing with her family.
“I enjoy teaching young children, they are always eager to learn and full of energy. Just the smallest thing can make the biggest difference in their lives. Their smiles light up the room, and the willingness to absorb information is amazing.”
