Child Care
It is our desire to provide a safe and caring environment for your child.
Our preschool department is staffed with loving, well-trained, background checked, and experienced caregivers that cherish the opportunity to love and nurture your child. He or she is a special and new creation from God and it is our desire to show them God's love, teach them to love others and equip them to make a difference and reach their world.
Our newly remodeled Nursery and Preschool is divided developmentally into four rooms, which allows us to teach basic Biblical concepts in a way that each child can understand:
-
Cuddlers & Crawlers
-
2 Year Olds
- 3 & 4 Year Olds
- 5 Years Old / Kindergarten
As your child grows and develops in ability or activity, he/she will be moved to a room which is more age-appropriate. Your child's teacher will discuss this move with you.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call our Children's Director, Kristine Prince, at the church office - 589-0424.
Listed below are some of our standard policies to ensure your child has a safe, fun, and learning enviornment.
Health Policy
We strive to maintain a healthy environment for all our children. Therefore, if your child is exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please allow them to recover at home before returning to the nursery.
- Fever

- Childhood Diseases (chicken pox, roseola, etc.)
If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the drug at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery. Nursery workers are not allowed to administer medication.
Schedule
Worship Service .................................8:00 am
Sunday School .................................. 9:15 am
Worship Service .............................. 10:30 am
All four rooms are fully staffed and your child will receive a Bible lesson in both worship services, as well as Sunday School. If you have a kindergartner, please pick them up after Sunday School and take them with you to "big church" where they will be dismissed for Children's Church.
Check-In
A nursery leader will meet you at the check-in area to receive your child, diaper bag and any other necessary items. You will be asked to sign your child in and complete adhesive name tags- one will be placed on your child's back, another will go on the child's diaper bag, and if necessary, one on a sippy cup or bottle. You will then be assigned a pager. The pager will vibrate if you are needed to return to your child's classroom. Please refrain from going behind the counter into the classroom areas. This is for the protection of our children and to ease congestion.
Checking On Your Child
Please feel free to check on your child at any time during the worship service. However, we ask that you do so discreetly, trying not to let your child see you.
Cry Policy
Unless otherwise instructed by a parent, if your child cries continually for more than 10 minutes, you will be paged.
Pick Up
Nursery leaders will expect the same adult to drop off and pick up your child unless special instructions are given to the leaders at the time of check-in. Please make sure to return your pager when you pick up your child. Be sure all your child's personal items have been returned to you before leaving the building.
